When
we were approached by our friends over at Livie and Luca to come up with a
design for their Trade Show Booth, we were intrigued and excited to work on
something whimsical and fun.We felt
this would be a good fit because of our common focus on quality materials,
clarity in design, craftsmanship and durability.We were also constrained in terms of
functionality – the booth needed to be compact for storage off site when not in
use, easy to set up, provide a complimentary backdrop to their beautiful line
of kids and adult shoes, and be flexible enough to accommodate new inventory
and variable space restrictions.
We came
up with a kit of parts – a series of “kids blocks” that have concealed storage
inside, and can be stacked in multiple configurations.Constructed from solid wood, and finished
with non-toxic varnish oil, the display blocks along with the custom designed desk
units with fabric storage bags to corral the mates to the 60+ display shoes.
